Urban Tilth is a resident-led organization in Richmond, CA that hires and trains local residents to cultivate agriculture and feed the community. 成人头条 is partnering with the group to help build the North Richmond Farm, a neighborhood farm and community gathering place. Built in several phases, the project includes ground improvements and utility work, greenhouse, shade house, composting toilet, classroom, toolshed and breakroom, commercial kitchen, offices, amphitheater, farm stand, history walk as well as extensive orchards and row crops.

The new Welcome Center will become the new “social heart” of the Berkeley Lab Campus. The LEED project will promote safe entry and accessibility, optimize energy conservation, while minimizing impact to the hillside.聽 With sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay, the complex will house a central cafeteria, health clinic, badging office, conference center as well as tech support and transit facilities.

This progressive design-build project was delivered one month early, within budget, and with a perfect safety record. It is the first facility on the West Coast to serve two separate firefighting functions within one building.聽 The station houses an Airside component which has 5 vehicle bays with larger vehicles that respond to incidents on the airfield and a Landside component which is a neighborhood firestation that responds to incidents at the Terminals and the surrounding community.聽 聽The San Jose Fire Department (SJFD) staffs station 20 with rescue personnel that can operate both types of vehicles. Making this a hybrid fire station that serves both the airport and the neighborhoods that surround a unique public safety building. 聽The project also brought together multiple public agencies with both Federal and Municipal funding sources. 聽Project intricacies included: an extensive design team; programming for two different user groups; three separate stakeholder agencies; four different funding sources; significant scope added midway through the project; pandemic supply chain challenges; and increased safety and security protocols building on a secure airfield zone. Our design-build team implemented solutions in partnership with SJC, SJFD and City of San Jose and delivered a superior project that provides both SJC and SJFD crews improved access to lifesaving equipment and resources to better protect the nearly one million residents of San Jose and 16 million yearly travelers at SJC Airport.
