The Technology Center supports聽alternative fuel research and product improvements for the Richmond campus. Building 71 is composed of three separate structures with seismic isolation joints between them.聽The project聽includes a voluntary strengthening of existing concrete walls and columns in addition to new exterior concrete buttresses supported on new deep pile foundations. Shotcrete wall overlays, steel channel collectors, micro piles, and grade beam strengthening at various locations as well as ADA upgrades are also part of the scope.

]]> Chevron Richmond Lubricants Plant (RLP) is a large, combined use laboratory and office building constructed in 1947. The mission-critical building distributes lubricant products from the refinery so operations could not be interrupted during construction.聽 The project included a voluntary seismic retrofit and subsequent ADA upgrades. Work included MEP modifications, and life safety and egress improvements. As part of the structural scope, 成人头条 installed 14 grade beams under the existing slab and 27 new 3-story shear walls in the operational facility.

]]> Design-build renovation and rehabilitation of a 70,000 SF steel-framed city hall and adjacent former police department into a new, seismically upgraded LEED Gold Essential Services Facility (ESF). Steel bracing and concrete shear walls were added, new exterior stone cladding was installed; existing historic brick cladding and MEP systems and interiors were restored; existing historic building elements were renovated; and significant building waterproofing and drainage systems were provided. Scope also included a new roof, glass and brickwork, disability access, Life/Safety work in the auditorium, and work on the plaza. Overall Life/Safety upgrades were brought to current standards. 成人头条 utilized a construction waste management program that diverted 50% to 75% of materials from disposal. The project was located in a congested downtown area with adjacent occupied buildings and additional ongoing construction activity. Major coordination with other contractors and multiple stakeholders was required.

Seismic and structural improvements covered installation of new pipe supports throughout the existing biofilter gallery and structural reinforcement of the boiler room deck with the addition of new structural steel beams and supporting columns. Scope covered large concrete pours and various projects at three buildings. 成人头条 completed two continuous concrete pours two weeks apart totaling 6,500 CY of concrete with 90 cement trucks and five concrete pumps. This involved 86 concrete piers (eight-feet square) and 2.5M pounds of rebar for a three-foot-thick piece of concrete, in the middle of winter. Grade beams utilized.
