Extensive expansion of an existing 30 MGD wastewater treatment plant. This included security upgrades, modifications to rainwater intake, new headworks, conversion of digester to Bio Filters, sludge storage tanks, new clarifier, new scum collection/handling, new groundwater pump stations, new blower building, and new chemical buildings. Seismic and structural improvements covered installation of new pipe supports throughout the existing biofilter gallery and structural reinforcement of the boiler room deck with the addition of new structural steel beams and supporting columns. Over 35 tie-ins or bypasses of plant facilities were accomplished without any unplanned interruption to existing plant operations.
