As 成人头条 was designing and constructing a 410,000 SF parking structure for the hospital, Kaiser added scope to build the foundation for an adjacent Specialty Medical Office Building (SMOB). This required careful coordination with the structural systems which shared common walls with each other. Extensive safety coordination was paramount with 成人头条鈥檚 crew placing 46,980 SF of continuous mat slab for the SMOB. This included 5 concrete pumps fed by 603 concrete trucks running at a peak rate of 60 concrete trucks per hour. This massive concrete pour was successfully executed by a two-shift crew of 90 workers over the period of 16 hours at a site located in the heart of downtown.
