It’s not everyday you see a building float down the Carquinez Strait.
The Tesoro Golden Eagle Refinery needed a new Control Building as part of its Avon Wharf Expansion but was challenged with space and time. The solution? 成人头条 Construction built the two-story, steel frame control building off site in Vallejo, picked it up, placed it on a boat, and floated it through the San Francisco Bay’s Carquinez Strait to its permanent home at Avon Wharf.
The building is a two story, steel frame, 2000 square foot control building. It contains a control room, electrical room, kitchen, computer room, break room, storage room, and three restrooms. The exterior features a Rain Screen skin system.
